Tipton. Here is an original photo that I took of a Pennsylvania Railroad train in Tipton, Pennsylvania, on 04 August 1963. Shown here are PRR engines #7052, #7182-B, and #7144. All are EFS-17M's built by EMD and rated at 1,750 horsepower each. #7052 was built in 1956, buu #7182-B and #7144 were built in 1957. They are about to pass over the grade crossing in Tipton with a mixed-cargo freight train on their way to Altoona for a climb up the Allegheny Mountains via the Horseshoe Curve ro Gallitzin and points West.

WIL-ALT-65. Here is an original photo that I took while riding in a Pennsylvania Railroad passenger train from Harrisburg to Altoona during August of 1965. Shown here (R to L) are PRR engine #7144 and another unit whose number is not recorded. Both were built by EMD. #7144 is an EFS-17M built in 1957 and rated at 1,750 horsepower. They are pulling a westbound mixed-cargo freight train near Lewistown, Pennsylvania. Note the eastbound TrucTrain on the far track.

Horseshoe Curve-1966. Here is an original photo that I took at the Pennsylvania Railroad's Horseshoe Curve near Altoona, Pennsylvania, during mid-May of 1966. Shown here are two PRR eastbound freight trains. The one on the inner track is a merchandiser, while the one on the outer track is mixed cargo. Included among the "mixed cargo" are two EMD engines: one switcher and one road unit.
