Byerly. Here is a duplicate 35mm color slide via Fred Byerly that was taken in Kearny, New Jersey, c. 1967. The photographer is not identified. Photo Caption: "Alco RS-1 #9919, 1000-hp, at Meadows Yard, N.J." Shown here is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #9919, an AS-10AM road switcher built by the American Locomotive Company as number "5619" in June of 1950, rated at 1,000 horsepower, and renumbered "9919" in preparation for the PRR-NYC merger. This photo comes from a color slide set entitled "Diesels On The Pennsylvania" that's produced and distributed by Blackhawk Films of Davenport, Iowa (819-33).
