M501 (Chicago, IL Barr Yard - Radnor, TN) approaches Elm Hill Pike (Chicken Pike to the railroad) on the Radnor Cut-off. This line was built around WW1 between Maplewood and Radnor Yard. It allowed trains coming to and from Louisville and Evansville access to Radnor while by-passing the busy Kayne Ave. Yards next to Union Station in downtown Nashville. |
