The 13 cars used in Phase I tests are connected to each other with a digital automatic coupling. In addition to the mechanical and pneumatic connection, the electric coupling has a continuous power and data line. It is to replace the screw coupling in Europe by 2030. About half a million cars and over 15000 locomotives are to be modified. |
