| Caught working the Lafayette yard is Monon NW2 #12. Built by EMD in April of 1942 as CIL #DS2, it was later renumbered CIL #12 and after the Monon reorganization, renumbered again as MON #12. The loco survived the merger with L&N as LN #2202 and even into the Seaboard System as SBD #2202. Quite a long term of service! No photographer was listed for the photo. |
