| Although mislabeled by the photographer J.W. Stubblefield as a GP30, this EMD built GP-9 was delivered to the Nickel Plate in January of 1959 (builder #25082). Through the different mergers, it was renumbered NW #2804 and then NS 1474. Behind it is Wabash unit #557 originally delivered by Fairbanks-Morse to the Wabash in May of 1956. It was re-engined by Alco and renumbered 597. |
