| On 11-30-73, this was the site where three good trainmen lost their lives as the result of senseless vandalism and sabotage. Unknown persons broke the switch which sent a sb freight into the house track. Freight was running at 40mph and target was displaying normal movement, but was lined into side track. It hit head on with a single unit was being that was being used for a local. Two engines were destroyed in the collision. |
