| UP 3203 SD40-2 waits for the go ahead to start pushing a long cut of cars into Davidson Yard. Electro Motive delivered this SD40-2 to Missouri Pacific as MP 3229 in August 1978 becoming UP 4229 on June 6, 1989. Due to lack of dynamic braking this diesel was renumbered UP B4229 SD40-2B B Unit on July 31, 1992 after removal of refrigerators, toilets, and cab seats. A renumbering would occur again on October 23, 2002 when all cab equipment was replaced becoming UP 8952 SD40-2 and finally UP 3203 SD40-2 on April 22, 2014. Currently this Mopac veteran is assigned to UP's Davidson Yard wearing the lightning stripe scheme and a large dent on the fuel tank from a sideswiping. |
