C&O 2300 was at the C&O yards and division point at Handley, WV in the summer of 1979. Date is frankly a guess, but it was before the U25B's were stricken from the roster--you can't tell it from this cropped photo, but 2300 was coupled to a U25B. Note that it's still in the blue C&O scheme while sister unit 2301, coupled to the short hood, is wearing Chessie System garb. |
