The trains using the CNJ after 1967 used a route that was cobbled together from Newark Penn Station, reaching the Jersey Central via a&connection from the Pennsy to the Lehigh VYlley at Hunter tower on the PRR, connecting to the LV at NK, then to the CNJ via a new connection at Aldene. Here Im on board a Newark bound train about to take the connection to the ex Pennsy. Straight ahead is Conrails Oak Island yard. |
