A sister to the other K-3 Mikado in this album, this Mikado was also built by Alco-Schenectady in 1923 and was also a class K-3. It had the 64" drivers and developed the 200 psi like its sister. A good looking locomotive some 30 years after being built but soon to be "released from service" as Wabash put it. This is a Ray W. Buhrmaster photo. |
