| OAKRIDGE OR Oct 31 1978 -- Southern Pacific SD45 8963 and its mixed freight are tied down in this central Oregon town. EMD built the locomotive (b/n 33660) in May 1968. It was qebuilt in Sacramento to SD45R 7499 in March 1984 as part of the M-99 Program. It was retired by Union Pacific June 18 2001. It was acquired by Ohio Central System, still in SP paint, as OHCR 7499. It eventually g~ined Ohio Central’s distinctive paint scheme.
