The quaint little town of La Grange KY built itself around the L&N's Louisville to Cincinnati mainline. Trains still run down main street; here three GEs bring an EB CSX freight through town.

Mike Riddle	General	As a former LCL sub engineer, I always held my breath coming through Lagrange. granted head end speed was 10 mph through town until you covered all the crossings, you never knew if the automoblile traffic was going to stop or not.
