Here is a steam locomotive portrait by D.W. Eldridge that was taken in Peoria, Illinois, c. 1948. Shown here is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #9420, an H-10S (2-8-0) "Consolidated" built by the American Locomotive Company as an H-8C during February of 1913, rebuilt as an H-10S in January of 1918, and retired in November of 1949 after 36 years of faithful service.
