It's surprising what the Great Northern Shops were able to accomplish like this 4-6-2 Pacific rebuilt from an older E-14 Baldwin blt 4-6-0. The new 4-6-2 class survived until the early 1950s before being scrapped with the exception of #1355 undergoing restortation now. Original rebuilt specs - class H-5-s, Belpaire firebox, 73" drivers, 210 psi boiler pressure, 23.5x30" cylinders, engine weight of 282,800 lb and tractive effort of 40,511 lb.
