GN 4-6-2 #1359 - Great Northern
This fairly good looking Great Northern 4-6-2 Pacific type #1359 originally started out as an older E-14 class Baldwin built 4-6-0 but was given a new life by the GN Shops during the 1920's. The entire class was scrapped during the 1950's with the exception of #1355 which is undergoing restoration. . Original rebuilt specs - class H-5-s, Belpaire firebox, 73" drivers, 210 psi boiler pressure, 23.5x30" cylinders, engine weight of 282,800 lb and tractive effort of 40,511 lb. The entire class was retired and scrapped between 1950-55 except GN #1355 now undergoing restoration. This is a Robert Graham photo. Unfortunately no date was listed for this photo so an approximate was used.
