AL&M Caboose 494
The Arkansas, Louisiana & Mississippi’s un-numbered caboose (previously Arkansas & Louisiana Midland 484) was on the rear of a fantrip operated by the Georgia-Pacific Corp. for the Southeast Louisiana Chapter of the National Railway Historical Society and the Arkansas Railroad Club. The train ran from Crossett, Arkansas to Monroe, Louisiana and return, and here it was at a photo run-by crossing Bayou Bartholomew at Wardville, Louisiana en route from Crossett to Monroe. The coach in front of the caboose was originally Minneapolis & St, Louis 51, then Rock Island 367 ARMOURDALE and had been acquired by the Ashley, Drew & Northern in 1975.
