| Burlington Northern Railroad SD7 6053 at Clyde, Illinois on an unknown day in October 1979, Kodachrome by Chuck Zeiler. Built as CB&Q SD7 405 in November 1952 (c/n 17401) on EMD Order 5140, it became BN 6053 and was retired in August 1983. It has a CB&Q stainless steel model plate indicating that it is an SD9, and the frame is also stenciled SD9 at the rear. I believe this might be a shop error. It still has the class lights centered over the numberboards and mounted on access doors. I'm checking on this and will post any further information I come up with. |
