Usually, the trees near a river or lake hold their leaves longer than elsewhere, due to the proximity of a good water source. Not here, apprently. Must be a northeast thing. The northbound 181 rolls its 27 autos, one of them articulated, and 82 grain hoppers north across the Illinois River. |

At this time, the practice was to put a pair of DPUs about 85 cars deep in the train, with one on the rear, a 2x2x1 arrangement. This is the "1", an SD 70ACe bringing up the rear on this 125 car AEPX train. |
