Description:
Here is a photo of Pennsylvania Railroad engine #2872, an H-9S (2-8-0) "Consolidated" built by the Baldwin Locomotive Works as an H-8B during 1910, rebuilt in Juniata as an H-8SB in February of 1918, later rebuilt as an H-9S, and retired in September of 1952 after 42 years of faithful service. The photographer's name, the exact date, and the location are not recorded. John S. Fisher Collection; #5 of 30.
