Description:
Illinois Central GP8 7960 was in Meridian, Mississippi. This was one of only a few geeps which were rebuilt at Paducah and retained its high nose. It still had its builder's plate, serial number 17743 built in March 1953, and its frame number was confirmed as 6497-3.
