On my Birthday, I played hookey from work and spent this beautiful day exploring different vantage points around the Port Jervis rail yard, and was rewarded by the appearance of the James E Strates Carnival train!!!

I have been noticing lately that the paint on the Rt.6 overpass has been flaking away, exposing lettering on this old relic. It says "Erie Railroad" on the top line, and "New York - Chicago" on the bottom line!!
