Here is a photo via Paul W. Prescott that was taken in New Castle, Pennsylvania, on 4 March 1938. Shown here is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #7241, an H-10S (2-8-0) "Consolidated" built by the Baldwin Locomotive Works during December of 1913 and retired in March of 1952 after 39 years of faithful service. Note that its bell has been removed for some reason. Gary Mittner Collection. |
