| 2.25.2024 Greenwood, VA. This is the view the operator at Greenwood, VA station would have had looking east through the bay window. Of course the station is no longer in existence, same as for the freight yard and freight house that were located on the opposite side of the tracks. Amazingly, as you can see, most of the communication works remain intact on the telephone poles in this area of the grade. Today, we see the late-running Westbound Cardinal as it makes its way up the Blue Ridge Grade. |
