10.29.23 Orange, VA. AMTK 92 leads the northbound Northeast Regional #156 into Orange. It is passing over the turnout to what was the original Richmond & Danville RR/Southern RY mainline through the town until the realignment in the 1890s.

Mason Soliday General Considering the fact that this unit was never wrecked (although it was never painted in Phase IV), Amtrak should keep this unit in service even though it’s numberboard was only replaced 3 times (82 should be retired; it was already wrecked in 1999, it’s numberboard was replaced more than 5 times, and it’s K5LA is badly fouled whereas 92’s K5LA sounds okay) 2/18/2024 3:21:31 PM
