PRR "Next Stop, Merger City," EP-20, 1966         
Here is a postal card entitled "Next Stop, Merger City." No Postmark. The photographer is not identified. Caption On Reverse: "Pennsylvania RR EMD E7 #4244 and E8 #4295 whisk a passenger train near Chicago in August, 1966. Recently re-painted tuscan red, both units wear Penn-Central style numbers on sides, anticipating the approaching PC merger." Both locomotives were built by GM-EMD. #4244 is an EP-20 constructed in August of 1947 as number "5844" and rated at 2,000 horsepower, while #4295 is an EP-22 built in March of 1951 as number "5895" and rated at 2,250 horsepower.
