Caught by an unknown photographer in this panoramic photo is former Salt Lake Southern GP7u #2207. This is quite a "boomer" loco having been on five different railroad rosters. Originally it was built by EMD in January of 1951 as ATSF #2664 but at this point in its life, the loco is officially on the Georgia Southwestern Railroad roster (part of the Genessee & Wyoming group) but still wears its second to last railroad color scheme, that of Salt Lake Southern. |
