PRR 9735, BF-16, 1958
Here is a duplicate 35mm color slide by an unidentified photographer that was taken in Cleveland, Ohio, during July of 1958. Shown here (R to L) are Pennsylvania Railroad engines #9735 and another "BF" Class unit whose number is not recorded. Both were built by the Baldwin Locomotive Works. #9735 is a BF-16 built in May of 1951, rated at 1,600 horsepower, and retired in July of 1966 after just 15 years of revenue service. Looks to me like the two tracks in the foreground are being laid for interurban service. Produced and distributed by Evda Slides of Maryland Heights, Missouri. ("LouisFols"; #9 of 31)
