This Alco-Brooks 2-8-2 Mikado built for the Nickel Plate Road (New York, Chicago & St Louis) in August of 1917 now sits as scrap in the New Haven, IN, yard, complete with its name crossed out. Eventually it would be sold as scrap to M.S. Kaplan Co on January 31, 1962.
