CRIP 0-6-0 #239 - Chicago, Rock Island & Pacific         
Two yardmen catch a ride on the front of this 1913 Alco-Richmond built 0-6-0 as it shuffles through the yard. No exact date in 1944 was given and the photo credit appears to be "Babb". With Rich Varner's help (see comment below), the location is Muscatine, IA. Thanks Rich!

Rich Varner General Are you sure this picture was taken in Rock Island, Ill.? I grew up in Muscatine, Iowa and it sure looks like the old Muscatine high bridge across the Mississippi river and boat club building in the background. The Rock Island ran thru Muscatine right along the Mississippi river thru downtown Muscatine. Now it is CP Rail. 3/30/2019 6:22:29 PM
