Lorenz. Here is a photo via Bob Lorenz that was taken at the Passenger Station in Tyrone, Pennsylvania, in May of 1958. It was published originally in the January-February 1974 issue of "PC Railroader" magazine, page 17. Photo Caption: "A three-unit Sharknose pouring on the power rounding the curve at Tyrone, Pa., with a westbound hopper extra, May, 1958." Shown here (R to L) are Pennsylvania Railroad engine #9740 and two more "BF" Class units whose road numbers are not recorded. All were built by the Baldwin Locomotive Works. #9740 is a BF-16 constructed in January of 1951, rated at 1,600 horsepower, and retired in July of 1966 after just 15 years of revenue service.
