Chicago Transit Authority 2519 at Armitage Avenue in Chicago, Illinois on an unknown day in October 1981, Kodachrome by Chuck Zeiler. The stainless steel bodies were fabricated in Portugal. The trucks, motor-alternator sets, and track brakes were designed and manufactured in Germany, final assembly and testing was done by Boeing-Vercol. The following is from Wikipedia: The 2400 series is a series of Chicago EL cars built between 1976 and 1978 by Boeing-Vertol in Eddystone, Pennsylvania. 200 cars were built (numbered 2401–2600) and on October 31, 2014, the series was retired from revenue service.
