RDG 2-8-8-2 #1820  Contributor's Pick!       
Although it was built by Baldwin in 1919 as a 2-8-8-2, there is no listing on the site for this configuration. After several rebuilds, the loco ended up as a 2-8-8-0 after losing the trailing truck. Properties - 55.5" drivers, 210 psi, 26"x32" cylinders, engine weight of 478,500 lb, tractive effort of 97,818 lb. Date is approximate. With help from Brian Woodruff (see comment below), the location has been identified as Gordon, PA. No photographer listed.
