CP 4-6-0 #599
Title:  CP 4-6-0 #599
Description:  From several online sources, this has been tentatively identified as an 1892 4-6-0 ten wheeler built by Canadian Pacific. Raymond Kennedy (see comment below) has added a significant amount of detail on this locomotive. Built as #599 by CP's New Street Shops in June 1892 (c/n 1171), it was renumbered 407 in May 1906 and again to 7307 in February 1913. The loco was finally scrapped in November 1926. Thanks, Raymond, for your help. Very much appreciated! No date, location or photographer was given for the photo.

Between 1905 and 1913, Canadian Pacific built or purchased 502 engines of this type. A dual-purpose locomotive, these sturdy and dependable engines were used throughout Canada for freight and passenger service. Locomotive 926 was constructed at the CPR's Angus Shops in August 1911. "
