A note on the back of the photo by W.H.N. Rossiter identifies this as CNR Extra 6141 running east at 11:50AM. This beautiful 4-8-4 Confederation type (CN's name for the Northern style) was built by the Montreal Locomotive Works in March of 1929. Specs - serial #67770, class U-2-c, 73" drivers, impressive 250 psi boiler pressure, 25.5x30" cylinders, engine weight of 383,000 lb, tractive effort of 56,786 lb.
