Title:  CN 0-6-0T #247 - Canadian National
Description:  This stubby little 0-6-0T switcher started out as a product of the Grand Trunk Pt St Charles shops from 1894-1895, nee-GTR 7105,. It was sold to Consoidated Sand & Gravel Co in 1928 as their #101. CN Rrepurchased the loco in 1952 for the CN Museum train. It was renumbered #247 amd donated to the Canadian Rwy Museum in 1967. Specs - Class 0-8-a, 58" drivers, 140 psi boiler pressure, 18x22" cylinders, tractive effort of 15,000 lb. Unknown photogrpaher.

Description:  Built by the Montreal Locomotive Works in November of 1907 as GTR #746 (serial #43160, D5 class), the 2-8-0 Consolidation served until being retired between 1955-56. It was donated to the Canadian Rwy Historical Association museum in Delson, Quebec in September of 1960. Unknown photographer

Description:  Originally built by Canadian Locomotive Works in 1917 as Canadian Government Rwy #2839 but renumbered in 1919 to CNR #3239. Specs - serial #1392, class S-1-a, 63" drivers, 180 psi boiler pressure, 27x30" cylinders, engine weight of 276,000 lb, tractive effort of 53,113 lb. CN 4-4-0 #40 - Canadian National

Description:  This ornate 4-4-0 locomotive has quite a history behind it. Built by the Portland Locomotive Works of Portland, ME, in November of 1872 as GTR #362 (seriall #233), it was renumbered in 1898 to #40. The loco was sold to Breakey Lumber in January of 1903. CN re-acuqired the loco in 1947 or 1948 and renumbered it 40. CN 40 is believed to be the only surviving Portland Company 4-4-0, a type of locomotive that was the standard North American engine of the nineteenth century. CN 40 is also the oldest surviving passenger locomotive of the GTR, Canada’s first major railway system, making it the oldest surviving passenger locomotive in Canada. Specs - serial #233, originally 66" drivers but converted to 68" later, modest 135 psi boiler pressure, 16x24" cylinders, engine weight of 80,360 lb, wood burner but converted to coal burning. It was donated to the Canadian Historical Rwy Association and is now a premier piece in the Exporail collection. Unknown photographer.

Description:  Built by the Montreal Locomotive Works in 1914 as CGR #451, it eventually fell under the Canadian National roster as #5550. Specs - serial #54762, K-2-b class, 73" drivers, 200 psi boiler pressure, 23.5x28" cylinders, engine weight of 243,530 lb, tractive effort of 36,010 lb. It was donated to the Canadian Historical Rwy Association in September of 1960. Unknown photographer.

Description:  Built by the Montreal Locomotive Works in 1930, this 4-6-4 was one of a small fleet of CN Hudsons serving express passenger service. Specs- serial #68396, K-5-a class, tall 80" drivers, impressive 275 psi boiler pressure, 23x28" cylindeers, engine weight of 356,400 lb and tractive effort of 43,279 lb. The loco was eventually retired and donated to the Canadian Historical Rwy Association in September of 1960. Unknown photographer.

Description:  Built by Alco (Montreal) in December of 1938 (serial #67650), the rotary snowplow was used by Canadian National unti retirement circa 1960. It was donated to the Canadian Historical Rwy Association. Now it resides as a fully restored (cosmetic) piece in the new ExpoRail museum. Unknown photographer.

CN Trolley #15702 - Canadian National
Title:  CN Trolley #15702 - Canadian National
Description:  Here is another historic piece of railway history. Built by the Preston Car Company in Preston, Ontario, in 1914 as Toronto Suburban Rwy #24. After the TSR was absorbed by the CNR in 1923, the car was renumbered as CN 15702 and used at Neebing Yard in Fort William, Ontario. It was retired in the 1960s, donated to the Canadian Railway Museum, then leased to the Edmonton Radial Railway Society in 1987.[29] It was fully restored and place on display in Fort Edmonton Park where it carries passengers.
