BDRV 8142
Title:  BDRV 8142
Description:  BDRV 8142 is seen at NS/BR&W interchange next to the CNJ era crossing sign. The interchange was put in at this point in the 1970s, near the end of the CNJ, so as to avoid having to cross an old, dangerous bridge near Neshanic on the CNJ South Branch. CNJ assigned a locomotive to this segment of the line to work industry in the Flemington area before the BR&W took over operations in 1976. The last CNJ unit to work this line, RS-3 1554, went to the Black River along with the line. Today the South Branch east of here has been abandoned.

Abandoned SEPTA Station
Title:  Abandoned SEPTA Station
Description:  The platform and signage are all that remains of the old Lenni station. The station building, since demolished, once stood to the left of the platform. SEPTA still maintains a base around the curve for the purpose of training new operators and the WCRL has an indoor storage facility for some of their equipment that is stored out of service there as well. Current plans call for SEPTA service to be restored to Wawa, just west of here once more funds are located for the project.

Title:  Old Station Signage Part Two
Description:  The road sign for the old SEPTA Lenni station still stands as though the station is still active, despite SEPTA ending service to here in 1986. The crossing signal isn't powered at this time, requiring crews to flag trains over.

Old SEPTA Map
Title:  Old SEPTA Map
Description:  This map of the Rapid Transit and Regional Rail systems from 1984 still stands on the Lenni station platform. A closer look reveals service to West Chester and Newtown is still in effect, although Newtown branch trains would have a bus substitute by this point. The familiar R numbering system for the rail lines is not in effect on this map.
